Description: As China evolves into one of the world's leading powers in the 21st century, it becomes increasingly important that our students acquire adequate background knowledge of China, its peoples, and culture. This course will provide teachers with information and resources for teaching and learning a variety of topics in Chinese civilization, including place names, dynasties, ethnic groups, some Chinese language characters, the calendar and zodiac, math, legends, foods, games, festivals, the role of the family, and the arts. This is a totally online course. Participants need to provide their email address at the time of registration. The instructor will contact you at this email address the day before the course start date. Participants will need internet access, email, and the ability to work with Microsoft Word documents.
