Description: |
This is an online course accessed via the Internet. Research projects and reports have long been a part of every grade level curriculum. These projects and reports look different based on the grade level and age-appropriate activities; however, the process is the same. Establishing a question and then looking for possible answers is the premise of research. WebQuests offer teachers an electronic, inquiry-based process that provides students independent opportunities to search for and learn the answers to questions. Through this course, each part of a WebQuest will be designed and by the end, an entire WebQuest will be ready for use with students. To successfully participate in this course, the learner needs to have a basic understanding of how to use the Internet, a word processor, and time management. Additionally, good written communication skills are helpful. Each learner must be available to participate in the online discussions at least three times a week and complete weekly assignments by the due dates.
